Wright's buckwheat membranaceum variety is a low-growing California and Baja California native well suited to dry, rocky slopes and chaparral-style gardens. It requires excellent drainage and very little supplemental irrigation once established in a sunny or partly shaded location. This variety is a reliable pollinator plant that rewards neglect, making it ideal for water-wise landscaping.
