Eschscholtz's buttercup is a delicate alpine wildflower found in subalpine and alpine meadows, requiring cool temperatures and consistent moisture to flourish outside its native habitat. It is extremely difficult to cultivate in lowland gardens and is best appreciated in its natural mountain environment or in carefully constructed alpine troughs. This plant is not commercially available and is suited only to specialist alpine gardeners.
