Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) is a delicate semi-parasitic annual herb that attaches to the roots of grasses and meadow plants to supplement its nutrition, making it very challenging to cultivate outside its natural habitat. It thrives in open, nutrient-poor meadows with partial shade and consistent moisture and should be sown directly into an established grass sward. Historically prized in herbal medicine for eye and sinus complaints, it is best appreciated as a wildflower garden plant rath
