European brooklime
Veronica beccabunga
European brooklime is an aquatic or semi-aquatic perennial that grows best in shallow water, bog gardens, or at the edges of ponds and streams with full to partial sun. It produces charming small blue flowers that attract pollinators and should never be allowed to dry out. It can spread vigorously in wet conditions, so periodic thinning may be needed to keep it contained.
