The European Michaelmas Daisy is a charming autumn-blooming perennial producing masses of violet-purple daisy-like flowers that are a vital late-season nectar source for pollinators. It thrives in sun to partial shade with average, well-drained soil and needs little intervention once established. Divide clumps every two to three years in spring to keep the plant vigorous and floriferous.
