Feather pennisetum (Setaria parviflora) is a fine-textured perennial grass well suited to partially shaded borders, meadow plantings, or naturalised areas. It is easy to grow, requires little fertilisation, and its bristly seed heads provide ornamental interest and bird forage through autumn and winter. Divide clumps every few years in spring to keep plants vigorous.
