Field garlic is a hardy, adaptable bulb that grows readily in most garden soils with minimal attention. Plant bulbils or offsets in a sunny to partly shaded spot and water occasionally; it is largely self-sufficient once established. Note that it can spread aggressively via aerial bulbils, so harvest or deadhead regularly to keep it contained.
