Field rose

Field rose is a graceful, scrambling wild rose native to European hedgerows and woodland edges, thriving in part shade with average soil moisture. It produces delicate single white flowers with a light fragrance in early summer, followed by small red hips that provide valuable winter food for birds. Once established it requires very little care — simply cut back old or dead stems in late winter to encourage vigorous new growth.
