Field sagewort is a tough, drought-adapted perennial herb that grows well in open, sandy, or gravelly soils with plenty of airflow and partial sun. It requires very little supplemental watering once established and benefits from an open, naturalistic planting style rather than a formal garden bed. This aromatic plant has a long history of medicinal use and is an excellent low-maintenance choice for wildlife gardens.
