Field sorrel is an extremely hardy perennial herb that thrives in poor, acidic soils with minimal care. Water sparingly as it's very drought tolerant and can become weedy in rich, moist conditions. The tangy leaves are edible and the plant naturalizes easily in wild garden areas.
