Firethorn

Firethorn is a tough, fast-growing evergreen shrub that produces clusters of white flowers in spring followed by brilliant red-orange berries that persist through winter. Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil and water regularly until established, after which it is quite drought tolerant. Prune carefully as stems are thorny, and it makes an excellent wildlife hedge or security barrier.
