French figwort is a tough, low-maintenance Mediterranean perennial that adapts well to poor, rocky, and well-drained soils in sunny to partly shaded positions. Its small reddish-brown flowers attract a range of pollinators, particularly bees and wasps, making it a valuable plant for wildlife gardens. It requires very little attention once established and is naturally resistant to drought.
