French meadow-rue
Thalictrum aquilegiifolium
French meadow-rue is an elegant, clump-forming perennial prized for its lacy, columbine-like foliage and fluffy clusters of lavender-pink flowers in early summer. It thrives in part shade with moist, humus-rich soil and looks stunning at the back of a shaded border or woodland garden. Little maintenance is required beyond dividing the clumps every few years to maintain vigor.
