Fringed pink

Dianthus hyssopifolius, the Fringed Pink, is a delicate perennial wildflower native to southwestern Europe, best grown in a sunny border or rock garden with well-drained, slightly alkaline soil. It produces lacy, fringed pink flowers that attract butterflies and moths, and requires minimal fertilization to avoid lush foliage at the expense of blooms. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to extend the flowering season and prevent self-seeding.
