Genip

Genip is a large, long-lived tropical fruit tree that grows best in full sun with deep, well-drained soil and regular deep watering during establishment. Once mature it develops good drought tolerance and makes an excellent shade tree in warm Caribbean-style landscapes. It is slow to bear fruit (often 5–8 years from seed), so purchasing a grafted specimen will significantly shorten the wait.
