Geum rossii var. turbinatum

Ross's avens is a compact alpine perennial native to high-elevation meadows in Colorado and New Mexico, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens and alpine troughs. It prefers cool temperatures, partial shade, and consistently moist but well-drained soil. Minimal fertilization is needed — simply keep the growing area weed-free and enjoy its bright yellow flowers in early summer.
