Golden cinquefoil
Potentilla aurea
Golden cinquefoil is a cheerful, low-growing alpine perennial that produces bright yellow flowers and thrives in sunny to partly shaded spots with well-drained soil. It is an excellent choice for rock gardens, alpine troughs, or the front of a border. Water regularly but avoid heavy clay soils that stay wet, as good drainage is key to its health.
