Goose plum is a tough, adaptable native tree that thrives in well-drained soils with at least six hours of sunlight and tolerates partial shade. Water regularly during the first season to establish deep roots, after which it is largely self-sufficient. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and remove any crossing branches.
