Gray clubawn grass is a compact ornamental grass well suited to sandy, poor soils and sunny, open garden borders. It is highly drought tolerant once established and needs very little supplemental watering or feeding — in fact, rich fertile soils will weaken it. Plant in well-drained, sandy or gravelly ground in full sun for the best silvery-grey foliage effect.
