Gray hawk's-beard

Gray hawk's-beard is a low-growing native wildflower of western North America that produces cheerful yellow dandelion-like blooms in spring and early summer. It thrives in well-drained, rocky or gravelly soils in sunny to lightly shaded spots and requires very little supplemental watering once established. An excellent choice for native plant gardens, rock gardens, or naturalized meadow plantings where it supports native bees and butterflies.
