Greater bittercress is a small, fast-growing perennial herb of shaded, moist environments such as woodland edges and stream banks. It produces tiny white flowers in spring and its young leaves are edible with a peppery, watercress-like flavor. Plant in a shaded, consistently moist spot and it will largely care for itself, self-seeding freely.
