Greater bladderwort

Greater bladderwort is a fascinating carnivorous aquatic plant that floats just beneath the water surface, trapping tiny aquatic invertebrates with its specialized bladder-like structures. It requires clean, nutrient-poor still or slow-moving fresh water and good sunlight to produce its attractive yellow flowers above the surface. This plant is best suited to wildlife ponds and is not recommended for standard container gardening.
