Greater pond sedge is a robust, clump-forming aquatic marginal plant suited to the edges of ponds, streams, and boggy areas. It thrives in partial shade with permanently moist to waterlogged soil, making it excellent for naturalizing wet areas and stabilizing pond banks. Once established, it needs very little care and provides valuable habitat and cover for wetland wildlife.
