Greek milkweed

Showy milkweed (commonly sold as Greek milkweed) is an essential native perennial for supporting monarch butterflies and a wide array of pollinators, producing stunning clusters of pink-purple flowers in summer. It thrives in well-drained soils in full sun to part shade and becomes quite drought tolerant once established. Plant it in a sunny border or meadow garden and allow it to spread naturally via rhizomes to form beneficial wildlife colonies.
