Green bristle-grass is a vigorous annual or short-lived perennial grass that grows readily in disturbed soils, meadows, and garden borders with minimal care. It tolerates a wide range of conditions and requires very little supplemental watering outside of prolonged dry spells. Its bristly seed heads provide food for seed-eating birds and add textural interest to naturalistic plantings.
