Hairy buttercup is a hardy wildflower best suited to outdoor meadow or cottage garden settings with moist, well-drained soil. It tolerates partial shade but produces its cheerful yellow flowers most freely in a sunny spot. This plant is largely self-sufficient once established but should not be grown near livestock as all parts are toxic when fresh.
