Hairy Star of Bethlehem is a small bulbous perennial that produces delicate star-shaped yellow flowers in early spring before going dormant in summer. Plant bulbs in well-drained soil in a partially shaded spot, such as under deciduous trees, and water during the spring growing season, then allow to dry out once the leaves have died back. It is best suited to rock gardens, woodland edges, or naturalized settings where it can be left undisturbed to multiply.
