Halesia diptera

Two-winged silverbell is a beautiful native understory tree from the southeastern United States, producing cascading white bell-shaped flowers in spring before the leaves emerge. It thrives in moist, humus-rich, well-draining soil and prefers partial shade, making it an ideal candidate for woodland garden settings. Once established, it is relatively low-maintenance and provides excellent wildlife habitat and seasonal interest.
