Helianthus debilis subsp. silvestris

This Texas-native woodland sunflower subspecies is a low-maintenance perennial suited to garden borders and naturalized areas in part shade to full sun. Water regularly during establishment, then reduce frequency once rooted; it handles brief dry periods reasonably well. It rewards gardeners with cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers that attract pollinators throughout summer.
