Nuttall's sunflower is a robust native perennial sunflower well suited to moist meadows and streamside plantings in western and central North America. Plant in a sunny to partly shaded spot with consistently moist soil and water regularly through the growing season. It spreads by rhizomes and can form attractive colonies; divide every 2-3 years to keep growth in check and encourage vigorous flowering.
