Rydberg's sunflower is a native perennial subspecies adapted to prairies and moist meadows of the northern Great Plains and Canadian provinces. It performs best with regular moisture and full to partial sun, producing cheerful yellow daisy-like blooms that attract pollinators and seed-eating birds. Allow it space to spread naturally or use dividing every few years to manage its rhizomatous growth habit.
