Hogfennel is a tall, architectural wetland perennial that thrives in damp, marshy soils with partial shade to dappled sunlight. It requires consistently moist conditions and does best planted near ponds, ditches, or in rain gardens where water retention is high. Its large umbel flowers are excellent for pollinators, making it a rewarding choice for a wildlife-friendly boggy border.
