Horse mint

Horse mint is a vigorous, spreading perennial herb that grows best in moist, fertile soil in full sun to partial shade. It spreads readily via underground rhizomes, so consider planting it in a container or bordered bed to keep it from overtaking neighboring plants. The aromatic foliage has traditional medicinal uses and the small purple flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies throughout summer.
