Hungarian brome is a tough, fast-spreading perennial grass well suited to open meadows, pastures, and erosion-prone slopes. It tolerates a wide range of soils and establishes quickly with minimal care once sown. Mow or cut back once or twice a year to prevent it from becoming overly dominant in mixed plantings.
