Iris × thompsonii

Thompson's iris is a naturally occurring hybrid native to the Pacific Coast, valued for its elegant blooms and adaptability to part-shade woodland gardens. Plant rhizomes just at the soil surface in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with good organic content. Divide clumps every three to four years in late summer to maintain vigor and encourage prolific flowering.
