Johnny-go-to-bed-at-noon

Johnny-go-to-bed-at-noon is a cheerful meadow perennial with bright yellow dandelion-like flowers that close each midday, followed by showy silvery seed heads reminiscent of giant dandelion puffballs. It thrives in well-drained, average soil in a sunny to partly shaded spot and requires very little care once established. It self-seeds readily, so deadhead spent flowers if you wish to limit its spread.
