Lesser skullcap is a petite, moisture-loving perennial native to damp heathlands and boggy meadows, producing small lilac flowers in summer. It thrives in humus-rich, reliably moist soil with partial sun and is well suited to rain gardens or pond edges. Minimal pruning is required; simply tidy back after flowering to encourage fresh growth.
