Lewis's flax is a graceful, drought-tolerant perennial that produces delicate sky-blue flowers through spring and summer. It grows best in well-drained to sandy soils and full sun to partial shade, and is an excellent choice for xeriscape or meadow plantings. Once established, it requires minimal care and will often self-seed to naturalize an area.
