Liatris punctata var. mexicana

This Mexican variety of dotted blazing star is a low-care native perennial suited to hot, dry climates in the south-central US and northern Mexico. It produces showy purple flower spikes in summer that are highly attractive to pollinators, and thrives in well-drained to sandy soils with minimal supplemental watering once established. Avoid heavy clay soils and overwatering, as it is adapted to the dry conditions of its native range.
