Liatris pycnostachya var. lasiophylla

This native prairie blazing star variety thrives in well-drained to moderately moist soils with partial shade, making it well-suited for woodland edges and native plant gardens in the Gulf South. Water regularly during establishment but avoid waterlogged conditions. Once established, it is relatively low-maintenance and rewards gardeners with striking purple flower spikes that attract pollinators.
