Lifelong saxifrage is a charming alpine rock garden plant that forms low rosettes of silvery-edged leaves topped with delicate white flower clusters in summer. It prefers well-drained, gritty or rocky soil and partial shade in hotter climates. Once established it is remarkably long-lived and requires very little maintenance.
