Linanthus pungens subsp. hazeliae

Hazelia's prickly phlox is a specialist Oregon native best suited to well-drained rocky or gravelly soils in a partial shade garden. Water regularly during the growing season but avoid overwatering, as this subspecies is sensitive to root rot in poorly drained conditions. It is best grown in native plant gardens or restoration settings rather than as a typical container plant.
