Linum tenuifolium is a slender, fine-leaved perennial flax native to European grasslands and rocky slopes, producing delicate pale pink flowers over a long summer season. It thrives in well-drained to dry soils in sunny or lightly shaded positions and is very tolerant of poor, calcareous soils. Minimal care is needed once established — avoid overwatering and heavy mulching to prevent root rot.
