Lonicera involucrata var. involucrata

Twinberry honeysuckle is a tough, adaptable native shrub that thrives in partly shaded areas with average moisture, making it excellent for streamside plantings or woodland borders. Once established it requires minimal care and rewards you with yellow tubular flowers followed by striking black berries framed by deep red bracts that attract birds and hummingbirds. Plant in well-drained to moist soil and give it room to spread to its full, rounded habit.
