Loquat is an attractive evergreen fruit tree that produces sweet, tangy orange fruits in late winter to early spring and tolerates mild frost once established. It prefers full sun to partial shade, well-drained fertile soil, and regular watering during fruit development but is relatively drought tolerant once mature. Feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring and prune after harvest to control size and improve air circulation.
