Palmer's silvery lupine is a beautiful native perennial of the western mountains and Great Basin, featuring silvery-hairy foliage and tall spikes of blue to violet flowers in summer. It grows best in full sun with sandy, well-drained soil and is well adapted to dry, rocky, or disturbed sites from mid to high elevations. An excellent choice for native wildflower gardens, it attracts bees and other pollinators and fixes atmospheric nitrogen.
