Lupinus latifolius subsp. longipes

The long-stalked broadleaf lupine is a vigorous perennial native to California and Nevada, best grown outdoors in partial shade with regular watering during the active growing season. It prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soils and benefits from occasional deadheading to prolong its flowering period. This species is an excellent choice for western native plant gardens and attracts a variety of pollinators.
