Lupinus latifolius subsp. wigginsii

Wiggins' broadleaf lupine is a rare perennial subspecies native to northwestern Mexico, best suited to outdoor gardens with partial shade and consistently moist, well-drained soil. Water deeply on a weekly basis during the growing season and avoid standing water around the roots. Due to its very limited range and rarity, this plant is seldom available commercially and is primarily of interest to specialist native plant collectors.
