Lupinus nootkatensis var. nootkatensis

Nootka Lupine is a vigorous coastal perennial that produces striking blue-purple flower spikes and thrives in cool, moist climates with partial to full sun. It fixes atmospheric nitrogen, making it an excellent companion plant that improves soil health naturally. Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic soil and deadhead spent flowers to encourage a second flush of blooms and prevent excessive self-seeding.
