Lupinus onustus
Lupinus onustus
Plumas lupine is a fast-growing native perennial from California and Oregon that performs best in part shade with well-drained, low-fertility soils. It is drought-tolerant once established and requires very little supplemental watering, making it an excellent choice for low-water native gardens. Its pea-family flowers are highly attractive to native bees and other pollinators throughout the blooming season.
